A short history of medicine:
I have an earache.
2000 B.C. – Here, eat this root
1000 A.D. – That root is heathen, say this prayer.
1850 A.D. – That prayer is superstition, drink this potion.
1940 A.D. – That potion is snake oil, swallow this pill.
1985 A.D. – That pill is ineffective, take this antibiotic.
2000 A.D. – That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root.
How to fix the economy
Mr. Obama,
There’s about 40 million people over 50 years old in the work force – pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations.
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings – Unemployment fixed.
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered – Auto Industry fixed.
3) They either buy a house/pay off their mortgage – Housing Crisis fixed.
